Ty Kroll is a graduate of the University of WI-Madison School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Composition. He has studied composition under Steve Dembski, Joel Naumann, and Les Thimmig, taken choral conducting from Bruce Gladstone, and piano lessons in Martha Fischer's studio. Ty is a member of ASCAP and the Wisconsin Alliance for Composers (WAC.) Ty has twice received a Wisconsin Alliance for Composers “F1rst (,) Listen!” commission. He has been commissioned by TAP IT/New Works, an avant-garde theatre group in Madison, and by Jessica Johnson, a piano pedagogy teacher at UW, through the "composer auction." Ty has composed numerous chamber pieces, several musical theatre works including some of the music to The Dying Game (a charity musical to promote awareness about AIDS in Africa,) and recently several choral pieces. Ty's musical theatre work has been performed and recorded internationally. By day, Ty works as a music engraver for MusicNotes.com. He has also done community access television work and freelance videography.
