- Indian Travel Set -
I acquired a small Indian travel set in the Staunton design from eBay a while back. Pieces are bone, ivory, or possibly plastic. I can't tell with pieces so small. This is by far my favorite travel set, and the most useful one I've come upon. The case can be closed with a position on the board. The pieces become locked in place. You can shake the case and turn it over. Open the case and the pieces will be as you left them. All this fits in your pocket. It is everything a travel set should be.
I have this set listed as Staunton though the kings are not adorned with crosses atop their crowns. I believe this is issue is a practical one having to do with just how small these crosses would be. All of the other pieces bare distinct Staunton signatures.
