- Rottgames Travel Set -
I was looking for a travel set for my brother that would hold the position like my little Indian set, when I came across this set by Rottgames. The pieces are an interested mix of wood and metal. I believe one white pawn (pictured) is a replacement. It fails to hold a position when closed, so I got my brother a different set. The very rough workmanship reminds me of wartime chess sets.
A position from the Marshall Attack seems to fit well on this wartime-looking little set. I'm not sure if the kings and queens are right. The piece I have pictured as the king resembles a cross from above. But at this angle it certainly looks like the Staunton queen signature. It can be difficult with pieces so small.
